No-Equipment Workout Ideas
No-Equipment Workout Ideas
Busy, demanding schedules often require quick workouts that can be done anywhere. Any space, even just the size of a bath towel, is enough to get a workout in. To exercise without equipment, try these ideas for using household items as resistance and/or weight.
Grab hold of a hand towel or shirt and try to pull it apart while doing other exercises such as reverse lunges. Voila, a resistance band!
On a rug or carpeted surface, place a disposable plate underneath one foot before performing lunges (reverse, front, lateral). Add a second disposable plate underneath the other foot for plank pikes and other plank variations including plank step-outs and mountain climbers.
Use a step stool for step-ups or cardio. Or, find a flight of stairs.
Position hands on the edge of a couch or sofa chair for tricep dips. Turn around and do incline push-ups.
Place back against a wall and slide down into a squat until hips are parallel with knees. Hold!
